Tony Risk is a real estate professional
with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Florida. His
degree is in Urban Land Use Analysis and Real Estate Finance. He also
went on to further his academic qualifications at the prestigious Florida International University’s Masters Program of Hospitality
Management concentrating on Hotel Valuation and Restaurant Feasibility.
Tony has been a licensed Real Estate
Broker in Florida for over 25 years. He has also been a certified Real
Estate Appraiser.
Tony’s introduction to the marine industry began as a
boat designer, manufacturer and founder of Manta Ray Catamarans. He also has
been involved in yacht brokerage and restorations.
A long time resident of Fort Lauderdale, “The Boating
Capital of the World”, Tony enjoys boating, fishing, diving and vacationing
in the Florida Keys where he maintains a vacation home. As a result of his
life long passion for the water and recreational boating, Tony brings with
him numerous contacts, friends and connections that can be valuable
resources to his clients.
Tony was a key player in the negotiation and
acquisition of several major marinas and commercial waterfront sites in
Florida. He has also been involved in marketing many of the most successful
luxury waterfront developments in Florida. His combined knowledge of real
estate, hospitality, and the recreational boating industry gives him a
unique understanding of the many challenges in today’s fast moving marina
business and serves as the foundation of Florida Marina Advisors. His
knowledge of the trends that guide growth is the key when venturing into the
marina business.
Furthermore, he has an in depth understanding of
community development as well as the interests and desires of those
individuals and families in the community. This knowledge is important in
determining the type and size of marina development best suited to the area
along with its potential growth and commercial viability.
Tony is a member of The Riverwalk Trust, The Urban Land
Institute, The Marine Council and The Marine Industries Association.
